挑戰極限！全世界最安靜的「消音室」

俗話說「沉默是金」，但是你能忍受待在無聲環境多久呢？美國有一個「世界上最安靜的場所」，卻靜得讓人無法忍受；據悉，人在這種環境中，最長也只能待45分鐘。

英國《每日郵報》4日報導，位於美國明尼亞波利斯南部的「Orfield」實驗室中，有個「消音室」可以吸收高達99.99%的聲音，因此被金氏世界紀錄列為「世界上最安靜的地方」。



但是長時間待在此地會令人產生幻覺；「消音室」建造者史蒂文‧奧菲爾德（Steven Orfield）表示，他們一行人曾經挑戰過待在黑暗的靜室中，最後只剩一名記者坐在那45分鐘。

他說，人在安靜的環境中，耳朵會逐漸適應，但室內愈安靜，耳朵所聽到的也愈多，除了會聽到自己心臟跳動外，還會聽到肺、胃等器官所發出的聲音；所以在消音室內，自己卻成了噪音的來源，這也容易讓人迷失方向。



據悉，美國許多廠商都會透過這間「消音室」測試產品，例如閥門、手機、汽車儀錶板等；就連美國國家航空暨太空總署(NASA)，也利用此地測試太空人是否適合該工作。
